Faculty Hunt Begins At Nalgonda Medical College

Hyderabad: Nalgonda Government Medical College has announced the recruitment of 62 faculty members on contractual basis in multiple departments. The meetings will be held on March 16, between 10.00 and 14.00 in the principal’s office.

According to the notification, the positions include professors, associate professors, assistant professors and lecturers. Appointments will be temporary until March 31, 2026 or until regular appointments are made.

The vacant quota list includes 1 professor, 15 associate professors, 15 assistant professors, 17 assistant professors in certain departments and 14 lecturers. The opened departments include Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Child Health, General Surgery, Radiology, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Dermatology, General Medicine, Orthopedics, Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Anesthesia, Hospital Management, Transfusion Medicine and Emergency Medicine.

Eligibility criteria are in accordance with the National Medical Commission (NMC)-2022 TEQ regulations. Professors, associate professors and assistant professors must have MD, MS or DNB qualifications with the necessary teaching experience. Teacher positions require an MBBS degree with permanent medical council registration.

Selection will be based on academic grades, teaching experience and research publications. Reservation rules will apply, with priority given to local candidates. Applicants must not be over 69 years of age as of the notification date.

The consolidated monthly pay has been fixed at ₹ 1.90 lakh for professors, ₹ 1.50 lakh for associate professors, ₹ 1.25 lakh for assistant professors and ₹ 55,000 for teachers.
