Trump taps Erika Kirk for Air Force Academy Board of Visitors

President Donald Trump has appointed Erika Kirk, the widow of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk, to the U.S. Air Force Academy Board of Visitors.
Kirk, who serves as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Turning Point USA, is among the president’s appointees on the academy’s list website.
“The Board investigates and decides to evaluate morale, discipline, curriculum, instruction, physical equipment, financial affairs, academic methods and other matters related to the Academy,” the site states.

Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated in September, was chosen by Trump to serve on the board last year.
“Erika is the right person to fill Charlie’s shoes on the Board and continue her work to inspire the next generation of service members and advance the Academy,” said Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas. KOAA.

“I look forward to working with Charlie to continue his legacy,” she said, according to the outlet.
Pfluger, an academy graduate, is chairman of the board.
