The later than expected arrival of the freezing rain storm gives a second day off to several students in the province: if Montreal schools are mostly open on this Thursday, the situation is different in Montérégie, Lanaudière and Quebec.

In the greater Quebec region, schools in the Capitale, Découvreurs, Navigateurs, Premières-Seigneuries and Portneuf school service centers are closed for the day, just as they were on Wednesday.

On the South Shore of Montreal, schools in the Patriotes school service center are closed, while those in the Marie-Victorin school service center are open, with the exception of a handful, where power outages are reported.

Students from Lanaudière are also staying at home this Thursday, notably those from the Samares school service center.

In Montreal, schools are open this Thursday, with the exception of a handful of them, affected by power outages.
