California cyclist dies after being bitten by venomous rattlesnake while on mountain ride

“He was strong and healthy. He was alive when he got to the hospital. His entire family was there advocating for him every step of the way. Julian did not survive,” wrote James Hernandez, organizer of the fundraiser.
“We are a family that handed our son over to the people we trusted and never got him back. We have questions that deserve answers, and getting those answers will require a legal battle. These funds will help cover hospital costs, his memorial service, and any additional financial hardships resulting from this ongoing situation. We will pursue the truth about what happened to Julian and we will stand up for him.
“This isn’t about anger. This is about responsibility. This is about making sure the next family that walks through those doors doesn’t live through our nightmare,” James Hernandez said.
