During his book tour in February, Newsom met with Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and was very frank about his academic background: saying“I’m not trying to impress you, I’m just trying to impress you, I’m like you, I’m not better than you. I’m a 960 SAT guy and you know, I’m not trying to offend anybody – you know – I’m trying to act like if you got a 940 there – but literally, I’m a 960 SAT guy.”

“You’ve never seen me read a speech because I can’t read a speech. Maybe it’s the wrong thing to do.”

DJT responded to these comments with a Truth Social post: “In a speech he said he was stupid, had low Boards, couldn’t read, had dyslexia and had a mental disorder – Cognitive Confusion!”

Trump brought up Newsom again at his rally in Kentucky, saying: “He admitted that he has mental problems. He said that he is not a smart person. He said that he has a mental ability, that he cannot read a speech, that he cannot read and other things that he said. He said that he has a lot of mental problems.”
