Sasikala announces her party’s name: All India Puratchi Thalaivar Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam

VK Sasikala, former interim general secretary of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), announced on Friday, March 13, 2026, that her party will be known as All India Puratchi Thalaivar Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AIPTMMK).

Early on February 24, he unfurled the party’s flag at a public meeting at Kamuthi in Ramanathapuram district.

Ms. Sasikala revealed that the party was founded by AIADMK founder MG Ramachandran (popularly MGR) and a follower of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
