Watch: CCTV captures driver tailgating tram on Nottingham tracks | News

Shocking CCTV shows the moment an uninsured driver drove down a tram line in Nottingham.

Levi Gomez, 27, of Wadhurst Gardens, St Ann’s, Nottingham, walked onto the tracks next to the University of Nottingham campus on April 6, 2025, before closing the back door of a tram.

A team in a passing ambulance noticed the danger, and a paramedic dragged Gomez out of the vehicle. While doing this, he was attacked by Gomez.

The judge heard Gomez appeared to be extremely intoxicated but refused to be tested following the incident. Gomez pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving without a licence, possession of Class B drugs, failure to provide a sample for analysis and assaulting an emergency worker.

On Tuesday, March 10, he was sentenced to 10 months in prison, suspended for two years and disqualified from driving for five years.
