Beloved N.J. ‘dive bar’ is closing forever, customers invited to say farewell

Jester’s Dive Bar in Rio Grande After four years in business, it is closing for good on Saturday.
Owners Bill and Megan Bumbernick confirmed the closure of the Route 9 watering hole in a social media post this week.
Selling the property, the couple decided to close the popular business known for cold draft beers, wings and entertainment.
“Yes… we heard the rumors. And yes… we ignored them. But now it’s real: After 4 incredible years, Jester’s is closing,” the owners wrote on social media.

They are throwing a farewell party for customers on March 14th.
“Come say goodbye to this week and join us on Saturday for The Last Dance with Misguided and DJ Brother Mike. Let’s go out and laugh, dance and maybe cry a little,” the owners wrote.
The bar’s Google listing shows “permanently closed” before its final night on Saturday.
Bumbernicks also owns The Surfing Pig and The Swine Bar in North Wildwood.
Jester’s is open daily from 11:30am until Saturday.
