Expert pinpoints odd benefit of Harry and Meghan’s ‘faux royal tours’ | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been described as “pretty desperate” by a royal expert who called their “fake royal tour” an unexpected benefit. The couple met with the director general of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom went to Amman last month upon the invitation of Ghebreyesus.
Since stepping down from royal duties in 2020, Harry and Meghan have taken many trips that have been compared to royal visits and tours because they are similar in nature. The couple last made an international visit two years ago.
The couple traveled to Colombia for a four-day visit in August 2024, without their two children with them.
They also visited Nigeria a few months ago, in May 2024.
“Since everyone knows who the Sussexes are, these trips may be of marginal benefit to various charities,” he told the Daily Express.
The expert added: “But the reality is that they are both looking for a real job. This makes the decision about their safety in Britain and how they handle their preparations for Invictus 2027 in Birmingham crucial to their future.”
The couple last visited Australia in October 2018, just five months after they married in Windsor.
As the visit began, the couple announced that Meghan was pregnant with their first child, Prince Archie, who was born in May 2019.
Following the shock announcement that they would be leaving office in January 2020, the family moved to the United States. They welcomed Archie’s little sister, Princess Lilibet, in 2021.
