A writer who has been clinically dead for more than 10 minutes claims to have encountered angels, profound peace, and what he believes is the entrance to heaven; but a devastating sight convinced him to return to life. Rosemary Thornton says this experience came after one of the most difficult periods of her life. Her husband died by suicide, leaving her in pain and struggling with guilt.

Twenty-nine months later, Rosemary was diagnosed with stage two cancer. At that time, he prayed every night for relief from the pain he was enduring. She also prayed that she would not have to revisit distressing memories or face more challenging decisions. A gynecological biopsy was performed shortly after the diagnosis and he was discharged despite heavy bleeding.

Speaking on the Shaman Oaks YouTube channel, Shaman Oaks said: “I remember standing in the shower thinking… I’m bleeding to death. At first I thought this was my way out.” According to Mirror’s report.

She asked for help after thinking about the friends who were with her at the time of her husband’s death. An ambulance transported him to the emergency room, where he said medical errors occurred, including administering morphine during blood loss, which caused his blood pressure to drop.

His friend later informed him that the monitor displayed “32 by 25, gone in every respect.”

Rosemary remembers falling asleep before it was suddenly forced out of her body. “I felt like it was thrown from my body,” he said. “Like toast coming out of the toaster. My heart stopped. You’re not actually dying, you’re dead. I thought, wow, everything I am is making this transition, right down to my funny little giggles.”

The deepest transformation was psychological: The regret and sadness she felt after her husband’s death instantly disappeared.

“Guilt, self-blame, anxiety, sadness, pain, regret… Every negative emotion you can imagine were things I left behind,” he said. “The dominant thought I had was peace…it was like peace was infused into every fiber of who I was.”

“If I had to sum it up in three words it would be: ‘Welcome home, dear.'”

He also perceived an overwhelming spiritual presence. When asked for her identity, the immediate answer came: “You are Rosemary. You are the image and likeness. I am the original.”

Rosemary claims that the declaration suddenly clarifies the scriptural passage that humanity is formed in the image of God. He then found himself inside a dazzling white room shrouded in mist, with a single door in front of it.

“I knew the door…was the thing that would make sure I didn’t come back,” he said. He started to move towards her but hesitated to ask one last question. Is it divine will for my life that a medical error sent me to my reward?”

“The answer is ‘No!’ happened.” The decision was still up to him, he was told. “Whatever you decide, you go with all of God’s mercy, blessing, grace, care and love.”

Just as she was getting ready to open the door, Rosemary saw the image of the nurse from the emergency room who had comforted her earlier. “Oh honey, we’re not going to let you die,” the nurse said. In the video, the nurse was then alone and crying. He said: “This nurse was leaning forward, her head in her hands, sobbing uncontrollably. I witness it too. I know she can’t hear me, she can’t see me, she can’t experience me. But I witness it and she says through tears, ‘I promised that woman I wouldn’t let her die, and I lost her.’ I realized that this was the same pain and despair I had felt since my husband’s death. “If I can save one person from so much pain, I must return.”

When he put his hand down from the door, he was on the hospital gurney again. “There was no buzz back… I just came back.”

Doctors later declared him clinically dead for more than 10 minutes following internal bleeding. CPR was not performed; Instead, medics focused on restoring blood circulation and restarting his heart. Considering the amount of time his brain was deprived of oxygen, serious complications were expected. Instead, examinations revealed no neurological deficits or heart damage. Subsequent tests revealed no evidence of the previously diagnosed cancer. “There is not a single cancer cell anywhere in your body,” a doctor told him.

The emotional transformation is equally profound, he says. “The pain and despair I felt about my husband’s unfortunate end are now gone,” she said. “The self-blame, the self-hatred, the desire to die… it all disappeared. I said, heal me or leave me. And I got both.”

This experience fundamentally changed his life. Rosemary disposed of most of her belongings and moved to rural America. “As I walked away from my body, I realized I was the happiest I’ve ever known,” she said. “You don’t need anything to be happy.”

He now lives among cornfields, which he says remind him of how life can bloom again after hardship. During his recovery, he also witnessed something extraordinary: Angels appeared around his bed and began to sing. “The music was so incredibly beautiful that I started crying,” she said. “They said, ‘This is for your healing. This is for your peace. This is for your joy. We know that life in this world is difficult.’

At his first church service after leaving the hospital, the musician saw the light from the piano explode while he was performing. “There were yellows, greens, blues, pinks and reds… there was so much light,” he said. The colors rose to the ceiling and then floated down to the congregation like sparks. Since then, hearing music reminds him of what he witnessed. “We are showered with light and love.”
