Pak Terrorist Killed as Army Foils Infiltration Attempt in Uri

Baramulla: A Pakistani terrorist was killed in a joint operation carried out by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in Buchhar area of ​​Uri district.

According to the Indian Army, the operation was launched in the night between March 14 and 15 after the J&K Police provided specific intelligence information about a possible infiltration attempt in the area.

During the operation, soldiers noticed suspicious movement of a terrorist hiding in dense vegetation. The forces readjusted their ambush positions and challenged the suspect, who then opened indiscriminate fire at security personnel.

In the ensuing conflict, the terrorist, who was determined to be a Pakistani citizen, was neutralized.

Security forces seized warehouses of war equipment in the area, including an AK rifle, pistols and a large amount of ammunition. Authorities said tracking operations were continuing in the region.

Earlier, on March 10, another infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in Nowshera sector was thwarted by alert troops.

The White Knight Corps said the movement of two terrorists was detected in the general area of ​​Jhangar in Nowshera around 3 pm after intelligence agencies shared credible inputs.

According to the information received, the soldiers took swift action and launched a calibrated intervention to stop the infiltration attempt in which a terrorist supported by Pakistan was killed.
