Chelsy Davy gives birth! Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend announces birth of third child on Mother’s day – and shares his sweet name

Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy announced the birth of her third child today.

The former City lawyer, 40, revealed in a Mother’s Day post on her Instagram account that she gave birth to “little boy” Finn last week.

She accompanied the post with a series of sweet photos of herself cradling the newborn, lovingly looked after by her two older siblings.

In a heartfelt message, Chelsy said: ‘Looking back on those hazy newborn days was a beautiful reminder of how extraordinary mothers are.’

‘It’s a juggling act to manage Aya alongside raising Finn, Chloe and Leo, but I chose it,’ she said.

‘And one of the wonderful things about the world we live in today is that most of us have this freedom; That we have the freedom to shape our lives in a way that feels right, whether that involves motherhood, career, creativity, or something completely different.

‘This Mother’s Day, I embrace the jugglery I have chosen and celebrate all of you embracing yours.

‘Happy Mother’s Day.

Chelsy, who dated Prince Harry on and off for seven years since 2004, welcomed her first child, son Leo, with her Eton-educated hotelier husband Sam Cutmore-Scott in 2022.

In September 2024, in a similarly low-key manner, Chelsy announced that she had given birth to her second child, who is thought to be named Chloe.

The jewelery designer married successful hotelier Mr Cutmore-Scott, who succeeded Harry at Eton the year before, in a secret ceremony in 2022.

According to the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden, Chelsy welcomed her first child in January 2022 “before almost anyone knew she was pregnant.”

The birth of his son was kept so secret that his arrival was only revealed three months later after he was introduced to the local church council in Norfolk. Many of Chelsy’s friends didn’t even know she got pregnant during lockdown.

Sam is the brother of flamboyant Hollywood actor Jack Cutmore-Scott, 35, known for his role in Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-winning film Tenet and the drama series Deception.

The siblings are close and Chelsy is believed to have been spending time with her current husband in Los Angeles since meeting him around five years ago. They were first photographed together during a family holiday to Mauritius at Christmas 2019.

Oxford graduate Cutmore-Scott is general manager of the family business, the Harper Hotel in Holt, and the couple are believed to split their time at a townhouse in Chiswick and on the Norfolk coast.

“They’re married,” a friend told the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden in May 2022, adding: “Very few people knew about the wedding.”

Chelsy found her man after an ‘on-again/off-again’ relationship with Harry, who told friends he was ‘the best thing that ever happened to me’ before splitting in 2011.

They had met in London when they were both at school, but met in 2004 during Harry’s gap year travels to Zimbabwe, where Chelsy’s millionaire father owned and operated a hunting reserve.

The situation became so serious that palace officials said she started calling herself ‘wife’ and he started calling her ‘husband’.

It was clearly serious as Chelsy not only attended Harry’s cousin Peter Phillips’ wedding to Autumn Kelly, where she was introduced to the Queen, but was also invited to the then-Prince Charles’ 60th birthday celebrations.

Chelsy, who dated Prince Harry (they were photographed together in 2006) on and off for seven years since 2004, welcomed her first child, a boy named Leo, with her Eton-educated hotelier husband Sam Cutmore-Scott in 2022.

However, the pressures of their conflicting careers and long periods of separation during Harry’s deployment in Afghanistan once again took a toll on them. They split in 2010 and Chelsy has largely stayed out of the spotlight since then.

Chelsy, a one-time party animal who was born in Zimbabwe and now runs a jewelery and luxury travel business, revealed in 2020 that she has a serious boyfriend.

He did not give his name at the time, explaining: ‘There is one and I’m quite impressed by it, but it’s very new and I don’t want to say too much.’

Her last known boyfriend before this was flamboyant television producer James Marshall, whom she split from in 2018.
