Race-by-race tips and previews for Hawkesbury on Tuesday
Choices based on a good piece.
Race 1
6. Frozen He finished second in a trial at Wyong in September and then won two trials at Wyong and at the Beaumont track at Newcastle before making his debut at Wyong as second favorite after leading. He can progress better here with the advantage of his racing experience. 8. Silent Uprising While he worked well at home, he had a series of trials before making his debut in Port Macquarie, finishing fourth. It may be there again. 1.Arato He is a Nicconi gelding who started his first race after two trials, the last of which he won at Rosehill. It looks like it has the potential to make an impact. 3. Full of art He is a Headwater gelding making his debut for Sara Ryan after two trials and could qualify.
How to play: Frostisen for the win.
Racing returns to Hawkesbury on Tuesday.
Race 2
7. Unbridled Storm He made three starts in April and May last year and failed to make an impact in any of them. He’s had a spell since then and has gone through two solid trials leading up to this comeback. He is the first to awaken from a spell and is preparing to emerge from the inner gate. 6. Iron Star He was just behind the standings two returns from a spell and a forward showing is on the cards in this one. 4. Stock Way He has finished second at Bathurst and Queanbeyan in his last two starts and is racing well enough to be included in the mix. 1. Derry City Felix He finished second on his debut at Kembla Grange and has finished fourth in two runs since.
How to play: Unbridled storm on both sides.
race 3
1. Above the Law He finished second in his first three starts and then finished fourth at Kembla Grange. After two attempts, he continues here and has the chance to get his first win. 8. In Tizzy He was in midfield at Rosehill on his debut and looks to have the talent to change that. 13.Lupa Capitolina He follows on from a three-start spell late last year, neither of which he was embarrassed by. 2.Dwight I had a good run home at Wyong last time and I might show up again.
How to play: Above the Law to Win.
race 4
2. Command Artist He ran a solid final start seconds at Kembla Grange while racing quickly and holding on well. He must have drawn the inner door here and it should stand out. 3. Ser Loyne He won before being spelled out at Wyong and followed up with a second place finish at Kembla Grange with a final start fifth at Wyong. 7.OleMiss Justified short-priced favoritism to get a strong last start win at Tamworth and be able to get on with the job. 1.Malabar He is fourth from a spell and can run a brave race.
How to play: I command the artist to win.
