2026 Oscars red carpet looks: Top fashion moments

While Hollywood’s biggest stars took to the stage with dazzling looks ahead of the 2026 Academy Awards, the Oscars red carpet determined the first winners of the night.

On Sunday, celebrities attended the 98th edition of the film industry’s most prestigious awards ceremony in style, held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California, and hosted by comedian and former late-night host Conan O’Brien.

Gwyneth Paltrow fascinated in her strapless white silk custom Giorgio Armani Privé column dress with full side slits. The dress had a straight neckline and a fitted bodice.

The Oscar-winning actress, who was one of the ceremony’s presenters, paired her striking look with a diamond necklace as well as matching rings and stud earrings. Paltrow wore her hair straight over one shoulder and completed her look with white pointed-toe heels.

Kate Hudson dazzled in her sea foam green Giorgio Armani Privé dress covered with crystal embroidery. The dress featured a strapless sweetheart neckline with a contoured peplum waist and a fitted column skirt. The actress accessorized her dress with Garatti jewelry, including a statement necklace containing more than 41 carats of rare green diamonds worth approximately $35 million. Hudson wore her hair over one shoulder in soft waves and wore a soft pink lip.

She earned a best actress nomination for her performance in the 2025 biographical drama “Song Sung Blue.” After her breakout role in the 2000 comedy-drama “Almost Famous,” she was nominated for the Academy Award for best supporting actress for the first time in 2001.

Demi Moore made a dramatic entrance in a strapless custom Gucci feather dress covered in iridescent green embellishments. The collar of the dress featured a plume of black feathers, and the skirt was covered in black and dark green feathers that extended into a feathery tail. Moore, who earned an Oscar nomination for her performance in the movie “The Substance” last year, was adorned with diamond and emerald drop earrings, a diamond bracelet and a ring.

Hathaway added a touch of Old Hollywood glam with long black opera gloves and accessorized with diamond jewelry, including a necklace and earrings.

Elle Fanning, who was nominated for the best supporting actress award for her performance in the movie “Emotional Value”, dazzled in a strapless white custom Givenchy ball gown with a wide tulle skirt and elegant silver flower appliques. Fanning completed her princess-inspired look with a sparkling diamond choker and styled her hair in a sleek low bun.

Heidi Klum wowed in a strapless champagne column gown with sparkling crystal embellishments and intricate vertical beading. The supermodel paired the dress with a stacked pearl choker necklace along with diamond rings and bracelets.
