In a first, President Murmu sanctions grant for Eklavya school toppers

In the unique initiative, President Droupadi Murmu had an optional fund for the National Education Students Association (Nests) for Toppers, one of the Eklavia model housing schools this year.

Authorities told Hindu Nests distributed 62.40 Lakh of this optional fund to 823 valuable students who secured the highest grades in their own streams in Eklavia schools in the country.

In accordance with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Nests manages more than 470 Eklavia schools throughout the country. More than 1.38 Lakh students are recorded at least 85% of the tribal communities registered in these schools.

An official announced that this initiative provides 7,500 financial assistance to two students, each of which is the best performance of each flow (science, human sciences and trade) at each school that entered the XII board exams for the academic year ending in 2025.

Authorized, optional funds, at the beginning of this year, was imposed on the nests; This was transferred directly to the account of the students’ accounts established by the schools within 2-3 weeks after the announcement.

In order to get this grant, they added that the selection of valuable students was used in an example, which has a choice for female students and that 20 students from 10 EMRS guaranteed the same grades. If the tie persists, class XI performance will be taken into consideration.

A statement made by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs on Monday said that the initiative “underlined the common vision of the President of the India and strengthens tribal young people to encourage fair access to quality education, to encourage scholastic success and to maintain high education and professional demands safely”.

The EMRS Program of Housing Schools for tribal children is among the main plans implemented by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in the center and has been an important board to emphasize the commitment of the current administration to reach the planned tribal communities.

The plan, which has existed since 1997-98, saw great reforms that started in the first period of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government and contained the sanctions of more than 600 new Eklavia schools throughout the country, and involved the establishment of nests as the central administrator of schools.
