Two men charged with murder after fatal shooting at Lidcombe, Sydney

Two men have been charged with murder after another man was shot dead in Sydney’s west.
A 38-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds at a unit in Shale Street, Lidcombe, just after 4am on Monday morning.
The man was taken to hospital and died a short time later.
Another man who police allege was attacked also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

Emergency services were called to Boronia Street in Ermington at around 1.30pm on Monday after a car crashed into a parked car.
Police allegedly found a firearm inside the car and arrested the 21-year-old male driver.
Hours later, around 8 p.m., police raided a home on Spurway Street in Ermington and arrested a 22-year-old man.


Both men were taken to Gladesville police station and have since been charged with murder.
The 21-year-old actor was also charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The couple are expected to appear before Burwood Local Court on Tuesday.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday afternoon, Auburn PAC Superintendent Robert Toynton claimed evidence gathered in the early stages of the investigation pointed to “strong links to organized crime”.
