Andrew Cuomo launched an independent offer to become the Mayor of New York on Monday, and in November, a democratic candidate Frontrunner Zohran Mamdani created a rematch.
Cuomo promised to overcome a failed campaign against a 33 -year -old state council member and the Democratic Socialist Mamdani, who defined himself. But at the same time, another candidate promised to leave the race in September to make a better shot to defeat Mamdani.
“If you don’t live under a rock, you know, probably the democratic primary does not go the way I hope,” Cuomo said in a video on social media.
After a series of sexual harassment claims in 2021 as the Governor of New York, the 67 -year -old child, in June, finished a second to Mamdani.
“I’m really sorry to disappoint you, Cu Cuomo said to his supporters in the video.
“But as my grandfather said, when you get overturned, learn the lesson and take yourself back and enter the game and I will do it.” He said.
“The general election is in November and I am in to win it.”
Despite a warm reception from the national democratic leaders, the power brokers, who are careful against leftist views, are seen as a candidate to be defeated in the mayor of the Mamdani, heavy democratic metropolis.

Mayor Eric Adams, who won his duty as a democrat but wants to be re -elected independently, is far behind in these surveys and the Republican Candidate Curtis Sliwa and Jim Walden, who also works independently.
Adams faced prosecution in criminal charges of corruption, while currently low public approval ratings have fallen. The US justice has sank even lower when the Ministry of Justice asked a judge to reject the case, so that the mayor’s ability to cooperate with the implementation of the migration policies of Mayor Donald Trump.
Cuomo’s Monday campaign presentation included an unusual offer: the rest of the area promised to unite around the most powerful mamdani before the election day.
“Our common goal is to carry out the most powerful island against Mr. Mamdani, Cu Cuomo said with an e -mail to the supporters.
He said: “So former Governor David Paterson and Candidate Jim Walden in the middle of September, which candidate and all other candidates as spoiler to act as spoiler and mamdani’nin selection of the proposal to determine the proposal.”
Cuomo suggested that only 13% of city voters voted as democratic primary and that Mamdani would face a more difficult time in the general elections.
“We all love the New York City, in November, we must unite to carry out the most powerful island against Zohran Mamdani in the general elections of November.” He said.
