Jensen Huang says Nvidia will generate $1 trillion revenue through 2027 with AI chips — Key highlights from GTC 2026

At the Nvidia GTC held on Monday (March 16), the chipmaker giant made several major announcements, with CEO Jensen Huang saying the company could generate up to $1 trillion in revenue by 2027 from sales of AI chips alone, amid the ongoing artificial intelligence boom.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who wore a black leather jacket as always at the event, spoke for about three hours. During his speech, Huang highlighted how his company has built the hardware, software and infrastructure it needs to dominate the artificial intelligence industry.

Here are the big things Nvidia and Jensen Huang announced during the company’s GTC meeting.

$1 trillion revenue

One of the key points highlighted in Jensen Huang’s speech was Nvidia’s potential to generate $1 trillion in revenue by 2027. Addressing thousands of people in San Jose, California, Huang said he expects purchase orders between Blackwell and Vera Rubin to reach $1 trillion by 2027.

“I believe the demand for computers has increased 1 million times in the past two years,” Huang said. “It’s a feeling we all have. It’s a feeling every startup has.”

Nvidia Groq 3 Language Processing Unit

Speaking further on Monday, Jensen Huang also revealed the Nvidia Groq 3 Language Processing Unit, or LPU. This is the first chip from the startup, which Nvidia acquired in December last year, mostly in a $20 billion asset purchase. The LPU is likely to be launched in the third quarter. It is built on Nvidia’s GPU processing technology and is optimized to accelerate the kernel.

Vera Rubin system

“We are working with our partners on a new computer called Vera Rubin Space One,” Huang said. “It will go into space and start up data centers.”

The project’s partners include Starcloud, which plans a satellite launch in November that will mark the “cosmic debut” of the new Nvidia module.

Kyber prototype

During Monday’s Nvidia GTC, Jensen Huang also unveiled a prototype of Kyber, the company’s next major rack architecture breakthrough after Rubin. The Kyber system is expected to integrate 144 GPUs into its compute trays. They will be stacked vertically rather than horizontally to increase density and reduce latency.

The Kyber design is expected to be available in Nvidia’s next rack-scale system, the Vera Rubin Ultra. It will most likely be shipped in 2027.

Automotive updates

Jensen Huang also shared updates on the automotive front. Details the previously announced deal with Uber, saying the ride-hailing service will roll out a fleet powered by Nvidia’s Drive AV software by 2028. It will be available in 28 cities on four continents next year, starting with Los Angeles and San Francisco.

I believe that the demand for IT has increased 1 million times in the last two years.

Huang also announced that Nissan, BYD, Geely, Isuzu and Hyundai are producing level 4 autonomous vehicles under Nvidia’s Drive Hyperion program. In addition, Isuzu and China-based Tier IV also produce autonomous buses using the platform.

Nvidia has accelerated its technology development in recent years, trying to change its entire product line on an annual basis while adding new components.
