‘Data Center Queen’ Zhou Chaonan makes her debut as China dominates Hurun 2026 self-made women billionaires list

Hurun’s latest ‘Self-Made Female Billionaires list’ is out; ABC Supply’s Diane Hendricks is at the top of the charts. The list also shows that seven of the top 10 self-made female billionaires are from China.

Following Hendricks is China’s Zhong Huijuan, whose $1.5 billion cancer drug licensing deal with Roche helped catapult Hansoh Pharmaceutical onto the global biotech stage.

Meanwhile, Zhou Chaonan, dubbed the ‘Data Center Queen’, has made a stunning debut; Speaking of the Hurun list, Range Technology’s cloud data center went straight into the top 10 as it was booming. Interestingly, in Chinese, ‘Chaonan’ means ‘surpassing men’.

From Diane Hendricks to Zhou Chaonan – here’s a look at the top 10 self-made female billionaires:

Zhou Chaonan entered the list for the first time this year and directly entered the Hurun Top 10; Fan Hongwei, meanwhile, saw his wealth rise 63% to US$8.5 billion, driven by the rapid rise of Suzhou-based Hengli Group’s shipbuilding business and steady growth in its petrochemical operations.

The Hurun rich list noted that China dominates with more self-made female billionaires than the rest of the world combined. The US had a good year and added 17 women self-made billionaires.

What do urban figures say?

At the city level, Shenzhen remains the world’s largest hub for self-made female billionaires, with 13 people. It is followed by Shanghai with 10 people, Beijing with 9 people, and Hangzhou, which ranks fourth with 8 people.

Kylie Jenner is the richest self-made woman

While China tops the overall list, the United States takes the crown in the ranking of the ten youngest self-made billionaire women.

At 28, Kylie Jenner of Kylie Cosmetics is the youngest of the 150 female self-made billionaires.

Hurun rich list stated that from the pool of 150 richest self-made women, 10 are under 40 and 3 are under 35. Kylie is the only woman in Under 30.
