Kyle Sandilands sacked by ARN, says it is ‘over to his lawyers’
Kyle Sandilands was fired by ARN Media following an on-air clash with co-host Jackie O; The radio giant said it did not accept the outcome and that it had now “been handed over to my lawyers”.
Sandilands confirmed in a statement on Wednesday morning that his lucrative contract had been terminated.
“My lawyers told them last week that it would be invalid. So guess what? It is,” he said.
“Let me tell you what really happened here. Jackie and I were on a blue broadcast. That’s it. It’s the kind of thing we’ve done a hundred times in 25 years.”
In late February 2026, Mr Sandilands was suspended from KIIS FM following an on-air altercation with Ms Henderson, which resulted in him leaving the show mid-recording and subsequently being absent from air for more than a week.
Mr Sandilands was given two weeks to “resolve” the feud by KIIS’ parent company, the Australian Radio Network (ARN), under threat of losing his job.
On March 6, Ms. Henderson released a statement clarifying that she had not, in fact, quit her job.
