Adam Peaty’s sister Bethany breaks her silence on family feud with the Ramsays and their ‘very different worlds’ as she reconciles with her mother after being accused of ‘selling her soul’ to attend A-list wedding

Adam Peaty’s sister, the only family member allowed to attend his wedding, has broken her silence on her mother’s row with the Ramsays.

Bethany Peaty, 32, was accused of ‘betraying’ her family when she pledged allegiance to her brother by attending his sister-in-law Holly Ramsay’s hen ceremony and wedding at Bath Abbey in December.

Now Beth has shared her heartbreak over the ongoing dispute, revealing she is torn between her loyalty to her mother and her Olympic brother.

Although tensions between members of the debate show no signs of abating, Beth told the Daily Mail that she had reconciled with her mother Caroline, 60, for the sake of her children.

Carer Beth, who has an eight-year-old son and five-year-old daughter, told the Daily Mail it was a ‘very difficult time’, adding: ‘I was caught in the middle of the war.

‘But I really made peace with my mother for the sake of the children. They adore her and she’s a wonderful grandmother and a good mother.’

Beth, who is engaged to her partner Daniel Rogerson (37), stated that it was ‘very sad’ that Adam banned their mother from the wedding and said, ‘It was such a shame and it was such a shame that she couldn’t go.’

He hinted that he was trying to be a transition point between the warring duo, but said he couldn’t help, saying: ‘We Peatys are very strong-minded people.’

Beth admitted this She was giddy with the glitz of the celebrity world, but a family source claimed she has since moved away from the Ramsays clan.

In response, Beth shared: ‘It’s a wonderful world, so different from the one we know.’

Of his new relatives – chef Gordon Ramsay, wife Tana and phenomenon daughter Holly – he said: ‘They’re a good family and they’ve made me feel very welcome.’

Stating that she has ‘no idea’ when she will become a bride and marry her fiancée, she said: ‘I don’t know when we will get married, it won’t be on the Ramsay scale!’ he said.

Beth’s comments came after a family source claimed she was ‘a bit snakey’.

They told the Daily Mail: ‘Beth got a glimpse of a different life and sold her soul supporting Adam to be a part of it.

‘He ran to his mother and they made up.’

The mother-of-two wowed in floor-length red satin dresses at the Ramsays’ wedding ceremony, alongside two sisters Beth and Holly, police officer Megan and eager chef Tilly.

While it’s shocking that the man and his sister have seemingly gone in different directions, considering they had a close relationship, the source suggested that they weren’t as friendly as they seemed and “were never close growing up.”

The insider added: ‘Beth is also feeling huge resentment that Caroline was missing while taking Adam on swimming trips during their childhood.’

Still, Beth put her differences with Caroline aside and the pair managed to reconcile on Mother’s Day.

There has been no communication from Adam, who has not reached out to Caroline in four months.

Former nursery manager Caroline, 60, was left heartbroken by the falling out with both Adam and Beth and admitted it was ‘very emotionally taxing’.

Still, she’s relieved to have made peace with her daughter after a difficult period during which Beth remained a doting grandmother to her children.

The insider continued: ‘This is a source of comfort for him. Beth went back to offside because she knew where her loyalties lay.

‘She acted sensibly and made up with her mother, now the wedding is over and Adam is busy with his new life.’

They added that January’s settlement ‘had a lot to do with the criminal case’ involving Adam and Beth’s older brother James.

Builder James Peaty, 34, known as Jamie, was released on conditional bail pending a police investigation and faces possible verbal abuse and harassment charges against Adam.

He was arrested in November last year in Budapest, Hungary, amid allegations that he sent threats to the Olympian during his stag week.

Gordon Ramsay, whom Adam treated and paid all expenses for, and Beth’s partner were among those who had fun.

This led to Adam receiving a large police escort at Manchester Airport on his return home.

The brothers’ father Mark said at the time: ‘They are brothers. They were always close, but like normal family siblings, they fight, argue, fall out, make up and start all over again.

‘But it got out of control. ‘There was very little empathy for Jamie’s real mental health issues.’

A family source said Jamie, from Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, helped Adam renovate his house in Kegworth, Leicestershire, at a time when the brothers were on good terms.

An insider said: ‘The negativity in the family stems from Adam seeing their mother as enabling Jamie’s actions rather than forcing him to deal with his demons.

‘Caroline was torn between her two sons and her half-brother and it was very distressing for her.’

The source explained how Beth began siding with Adam against their mother towards the wedding.

He had also attempted to mediate when the rift developed.

He’d been a guest at Holly’s lavish hen do at the Soho Farmhouse, but Caroline wasn’t invited.

When Beth texted Holly about the attendees and asked if her mother was invited, the bride-to-be said no because it was just a small gathering with her sister, mother and close friends.

The source said that this event, where Victoria Beckham was also a guest, triggered Beth’s ‘taste for the celebrity life’.

They added: ‘He was raving about the night and seemed to be settling in. It definitely has the right look and blended in well.

He said ‘Victoria’ looked a bit drunk and started singing and the others joined them. He said it was so funny!’

Beth’s decision to attend the A-list wedding with her partner also added to her parents’ pain.

While the man forbade his mother, Beth is said to have asked her brother if their father was allowed to go.

The groom said Mark could attend but he had to ‘sit in the back of the church’. He refused to go without his wife.

As the rift in the family deepened, Adam continued to belittle his mother at Christmas, as well as his father, grandmother, and two brothers.

He played the part of the doting sibling, showering Beth’s two children with lavish gifts while refusing to send any cards or gifts to her other nieces, nephews, or parents.
