Iran’s Women Football Team Returns Home: Report

Dubai: Players and technical staff of Iran’s women’s national football team returned home on Wednesday after rejecting their request for asylum in Australia, where they were playing in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

According to Fars news, they were welcomed by the authorities and the public at the Türkiye-Iran Bazargan border.
