Eric Dane’s widow Rebecca Gayheart and teenage daughters make first public appearance since his death

Eric Dane’s widow, Rebecca Gayheart, and her two daughters have appeared in public for the first time since his death.
Just weeks after Dane died at the age of 53 following a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, the 54-year-old actor was joined by 16-year-old Billie and 14-year-old Georgia at the premiere of The Drama on Tuesday.
Gayheart and her daughters attended the event in Los Angeles alongside Robert Pattinson to support Dane’s Euphoria co-star Zendaya.
The proud mom looked elegant in a striped dress paired with black lace heels and a pink bag.
Billie, meanwhile, opted for a white lace crop top and matching skirt, as well as a small Dior bag and lavender heels.
Georgia was stylish in her bubblegum pink dress and clear heels, which she paired with a black bag.

Dane, who rose to fame after playing heartthrob McSteamy on Grey’s Anatomy, died on February 19 at the age of 53 after a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Dane played Cal Jacobs, the father of Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), on the Emmy-winning series Euphoria.
He returned to the set to portray the troubled patriarch in the upcoming third season, led by Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney, eventually completing his scenes before his death.
His final performance will be revealed in the season premiere on April 12, although his character was notably absent from the January trailer.
Series creator Sam Levinson was one of many people who donated to the GoFundMe that Dane and Gayheart’s friends set up to support their daughter after her death.
Dane will have a public tribute on Sunday, the result of an effort led by fans outraged over his snub in the Oscars’ In Memoriam segment.
The actor’s family has been touched by the tributes and condolences sent from around the world, and a source close to Gayheart told TMZ on Tuesday that a celebration of life is now being planned.
The meeting will be held for fans of the talented actor; Their goal is to make Dane ‘smile, feel loved and know that his life is not in vain’.
This comes just days after Oscar viewers were upset by shocking omissions, including Dane, during the emotional In Memoriam portion of the 98th Annual Academy Awards.

A host of Hollywood stars, including Diane Keaton, Catherine O’Hara and Rob Reiner, were honored at the ceremony, and their former co-stars paid moving tributes on stage.
However, other names that were not included in the list besides Dane were James Van Der Beek and Brigitte Bardot.

A source for Gayheart told TMZ that the family was “upset” that she wasn’t included in the main arc, but they understood the omission.
The source said: ‘It was a year of profound loss for the industry.’
Earlier this month, Dane’s cause of death was confirmed to be respiratory failure, according to his death certificate.
ALS was listed as the underlying cause of death.
Respiratory failure is a known complication of ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, gradually affecting muscle control and breathing.
Months before his death, Dane secretly recorded an interview for Netflix in which he left a deeply personal message to his two daughters.
According to reports, the 50-minute film, titled Famous Last Words: Eric Dane, was secretly recorded with the understanding that it would be released only after his death.
Towards the end of the interview with Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband Brad Falchuk, Dane addressed his daughters directly, thinking of them and speaking to the camera: ‘Billie and Georgia, these words are for you. I tried. I stumbled sometimes, but I tried.’

The widow is also listed as a beneficiary of Dane’s GoFundMe page; the page has raised $489,539 of its $500k goal to help ‘provide stability for Eric’s amazing daughters during this incredibly difficult time and into the future.’
Gayheart and Dane would have been married for 21 years had they never legally separated between 2018 and 2025.
But Dane had been dating photographer Janell Shirtcliff since 2022, and the Jawbreaker alum had publicly kissed Hard Rock Cafe co-founder Peter Morton, 78, at E Baldi in Beverly Hills on December 3.
