KCR Received Over Rs 1 Cr Towards Salary, Allowances, Yet Not Attending Assembly: Telangana CM

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday hit out at BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao for not attending the Assembly for the last two years, saying the former CM had received more than Rs 1 million as salary and allowance since December 2023 as Leader of Opposition. Reddy, in his reply to the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address, found fault with KCR for not joining the House during the Governor’s address at the beginning of the current session.

Reddy also said that four crore people from Telangana hope that the former CM will attend the Assembly and formally offer their wishes to the new Governor during his speech.

Revanth Reddy said, “The Leader of Opposition received a salary and allowance of Rs 1,06,56,674 from December 1, 2023 to February 28, 2026. There is a need for a discussion and decision regarding all those who are permanently absent from their duties. I am not specifically naming names.” he said.

He also appealed to KCR to come to the Parliament and submit his valuable suggestions during the debates.

Reddy said that some people thought they were kings, that the people made mistakes (by losing in the elections), and that they mocked democratic values by “behaving like dictators”.
