The White House has registered the ‘aliens.gov’ domain name, sparking new speculation that President Donald Trump’s long-awaited UFO announcement may be imminent.
The domain, which is affiliated with the Executive Office of the President, was flagged Wednesday by an automated tracker of federal websites and listed on the government’s official .gov registry maintained by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
Registry records show that it was recently added under the White House Office, among other official government sites, confirming that it is a legitimate federal web address, but its purpose has not been publicly disclosed.
The website is not currently live, but the fact that the domain has been reserved raises questions about whether it could be used in the future as a portal for documents related to Trump’s push for greater transparency about unidentified aerial phenomena.
In February, Trump directed federal agencies, including the Pentagon, to begin identifying and releasing dossiers on UFOs and potential extraterrestrial activity, also known as UAPs.
“Based on the tremendous interest demonstrated, I will direct the Secretary of War to begin the process of identifying and publishing Government files regarding alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs),” Trump wrote on Truth Social on February 19.)
