Tube strikes London 2026 cancelled next week with 12 dates still planned – full list | UK | News

Two London Underground strikes have been canceled next week, but 12 more are planned for 2026. The strikes planned for March 24-25 and March 26-27 will no longer continue.
However, the strikes will last 12 days in April, May and June. The remaining strikes are still planned for 21-22 April, 23-24 April, 19-20 May and 21-22 May, with additional actions added for 16 June and 18 June. Last ditch talks are planned in the coming days and weeks to try to reach a solution through negotiations.
RMT general secretary Eddie Dempsey said: “Through our demonstration of industrial strength and unity, we have put the administration in a position where they will be willing to engage seriously with the issues our members want to address. There will be further discussions and the dispute will remain alive.”
The industrial action is being taken to protest what the RMT describes as a “compressed four-day working week” for tube drivers.

Nick Dent, customer operations manager at London Underground, said: “We are pleased that the RMT has suspended its planned industrial action between Tuesday 24 March and Friday 27 March.
“This is good news for London and we will continue to work constructively with unions to avoid disruption and address concerns.”
Metro drivers will strike in six separate events, each lasting 24 hours, spread over 12 dates:
- 21-22 April (12:00 – 11:59)
- 23-24 April (12:00 – 11:59)
- 19-20 May (12:00 – 11:59)
- 21-22 May (12:00 – 11:59)
- 16-17 June (12:00 – 11:59)
- 18-19 June (12:00 – 11:59)
Drivers and non-driver RMT members in the ASLEF union are not taking part in the strike, so TfL anticipates the disruption will be less severe than the strikes in September.
