The UK Health Safety Agency has urged UK doctors to be alert for symptoms of Meningitis following an outbreak in London and Kent.
Medical professionals have been told to pay attention to the disease’s symptoms and treatment options.
This comes as the Meningitis B vaccine was rolled out to 5,000 University of Kent students.
It was previously confirmed that the total number of confirmed and suspected cases had risen to 20, with two people confirmed dead.
Health Minister Wes Streeting said the risk of the disease spreading was low.
