Man arrested for allegedly molesting Malayalam actor in Kochi

A man was arrested for allegedly harassing a popular Malayalam film actor at Kaloor in Kochi, police said on Saturday (March 21, 2026).

The accused was identified as Vibin Roy, a native of Kathrikadavu.

According to police, the incident took place on Thursday evening when the actor was walking towards a shop on Stadium Link Road in Kaloor.

Police alleged that Mr Roy followed the actor and harassed him before fleeing from there.

The actor then approached the police to lodge a complaint, following which a case was registered at Palarivattom police station.

Police said that the accused sent messages to the actor multiple times on the social media platform and the actor blocked him. The man then got agitated and allegedly followed the actor and misbehaved with him.

After investigation, police identified the suspect and arrested him on Friday night.

He will be transferred to the courthouse as soon as possible within the scope of detention procedures.
