Irish actress Ruth had a leg amputated when she was 23, eight years after suffering a football injury that did not heal properly.

And in November, he confirmed his second below-the-knee amputation, leaving him confined to a wheelchair while recovering at his parents’ home.

At the time, with a defiant one-finger gesture, he took to Instagram to announce his immediate plans to become mobile again, thanks to a new artificial leg.

Sharing a selfie with his followers, the actor wrote: ‘After a short break, world domination and the purge of middle-aged white men will resume from 10am. New legs loading.’

Ruth gained a new fan base after appearing in her first British series of The Celebrity Traitors in October.

Host Jonathan Ross was the second contestant to be killed by singer Cat Burns and the show’s eventual winner, comedian Alan Carr.

Weeks later, the actor confirmed that his second leg had been amputated.

Addressing his TikTok followers, he said: ‘Hello friends, I have good and bad news.

‘Good news, we’ve come full circle, I’m back to making TikTok content at my parents’ house, bad news, I can’t do it in front of that beautiful blue floral wallpaper anymore because that room is upstairs, and I’ve just had my second below-the-knee amputation.

‘So unfortunately these facilities are not available to me at the moment, yes there is a lot of unpacking going on there for everyone involved.’

The Irish actor also said that he got a new wheelchair, which he called “Fat Tony”.

He added: ‘It has the fastest fuck rate per hour, especially if there’s a step involved.’

Ruth has previously revealed that worsening nerve pain caused by her football injury has affected her mental health, as her ‘whole life’ has revolved around trying to heal her leg.

He told the Irish Examiner: ‘I haven’t seen the situation getting any better for years. I was stuck in a really bad mindset and embittered.’

After repeated unsuccessful surgeries, he decided to have his right leg amputated and said: ‘It took eight years of my life, constantly being in and out of hospital.

‘When I decided to cut it out, things finally started to turn around. It was a relief. ‘I can move on with my life.’
