Minister Donald Trump On Friday, he signed the “Protecting America’s Game” executive order promising to keep the annual Army-Navy game as a standalone event throughout the college football season.

Trump signed the order during the Midshipmen’s visit to the White House on Friday to celebrate the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy victory, which will be awarded to the Army, Navy or Air Force if one of the teams goes 2-0 against other opponents during the season.

However, Stephen A. Smith did not like this move very much.

“Things like that make me angry, coming from the President of the United States. And he’s poking his nose into places that I believe the President of the United States shouldn’t be sticking his nose into,” Smith said during his SiriusXM show on Mad Dog Sports Radio on Friday afternoon. Terrible Announcement.

“Who does this guy think he is? Every time I try to be fair and just with this president, he pulls bullshit like this. It really pisses me off. Who does he think he is? If the Army-Navy game is airing on NBC, FOX and CBS shouldn’t have their own content on their own networks? Because the president just issued an executive order stating that he doesn’t want anything to compete with Army-Navy, he wants the sports to be the focus. What if they don’t want that? What if they don’t want to watch Army-Navy? Who the hell is he to tell the broadcasting world that he doesn’t want anything to compete with Army-Navy, he wants the sports to be the focus?” ‘No, not right now.’

“Who the hell does he think he is?! That’s the kind of stupidity that has our country abuzz right now. That’s it. Because you’re overstepping your fucking boundaries. Don’t you have enough to focus on? Now you’re trying to tell us which fucking football game we should be watching?! Who does he think he is?!”

With the current College Football Playoff schedule, the Army-Navy game currently falls between the conference championship weekend and the first weekend of the 12-team playoff. But the potential expansion could lead to earlier games. The Army-Navy game will air on CBS until 2038.

Navy defeated Army in a thrilling 17-16 victory to earn the Commander-in-Chief’s Award in December in a historic season that saw the program finish 11-2, making it the first season in program history for the team to post 10 straight wins.

“The annual Army-Navy game is truly one of the most special occasions in all of sports, but in recent years the College Football Playoff expansion has violated that sacred four-hour window traditionally reserved for Army-Navy,” the president said Friday. “I will sign an executive order to ensure that the second Saturday in December is kept special. No one will play football – not Ohio State against Notre Dame, not LSU against Alabama – no one will play football for four hours during this very special time of year in December. It is reserved forever for the Army-Navy game.”

Earlier this month, Trump held a roundtable to combat NIL’s effects on college sports.

Trump joked that the consequences of signing the executive order could result in a lawsuit.

“Sure, we’ll probably sue at some point. We’ll sue, but we won those lawsuits and we’ll win this one, too.”

Trump first signaled his intention to sign the executive order in a post on Truth Social in January, saying: “This incredible Tradition is now at risk of being pushed aside by more College Playoff Games and Big TV Money. NOT ANYMORE!”
