Trump threatened a tariff rate of 32 percent since August 1, in a letter sent to the president of the Southeast Asian country last week.

This month, including Trump, Canada, Japan and Brazil, sent letters to approximately two dozen trading partners, and from 20 percent to 50 percent blanket tariff rates and 50 percent tariff in copper.
