Men jailed for felling UK’s iconic ‘Sycamore Gap’ tree

Each of the two men has been imprisoned to cut the Symamore GAP tree in England for more than four years, which is a very popular and well -known global turning point in a Hollywood film.

The Çınar, who was estimated to be about 200 years old, was standing in the center of a dramatic dive in the landscape next to the historical Hadrian’s wall in North England, which made it a popular place for photographers, hiking and even marriage proposals.

39 -year -old Daniel Graham and 32 -year -old man Carruthers were found guilty of traveling from their homes in the middle of the night in September 2023 last month.

They filmed the things that prosecutors described as a “moronic task” on Graham’s mobile phone, and then boasted it, before the widespread anger in the couple’s friendship actions became clear as the widespread anger becomes brutality.

Both rejected any participation in the 1991 film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and also built by the Romans almost 2000 years ago and now built on a UNESCO World Heritage site, as well as a damaged tree in the wall of Hadrian’s wall.

However, Graham and Carruthers accepted their responsibilities while talking to supervised freedom staff.

Carruthers’ lawyer Andrew Gurney described it as “drunk stupidity”.

Judge Christina Lambert, who sentenced them to four years and three months of imprisonment, told men that they cut the tree from the “pure bravado”.

National Guven, a Heritage Protection Assistance, said he had symptoms of life at the base of the tree last August and hoped that he could live.

Last week, the Northumberland National Park said the largest of the tree would be exhibited in an installation that was not far from its place.
