Pedestrian seriously injured when woman fell from above in Melbourne’s CBD
A pedestrian on a Melbourne CBD footpath was seriously injured and taken to hospital after a woman fell from an upstairs building and died.
The man was standing under a building on William Street near the city’s courthouse district just before noon Monday when the woman fell from a height and landed on top of him.
He was called to the emergency room, but the woman, whose identity has not yet been determined, died at the scene.
Police said the woman’s death is not being treated as suspicious. They will prepare a report for the coroner.
