Royton LIVE: Police swarm Oldham country park after teenage girl ‘assaulted’ | UK | News

Police officers rushed to a park in Oldham on Friday after a teenage girl was allegedly assaulted. The main police response involved establishing a cordon at Tandle Hill park in Royton and searching two areas on March 23. MEN reports.

A GMP spokesman said: “There are currently two police scenes at Tandle Hill Country Park. The first surrounds the monument and the second surrounds the entrance cafe. Scenes are expected to remain in place while specialist officers carry out a detailed search of the area. Officers were called to reports of a suspicious assault on a young girl in the Oldham area on Saturday 21 March. The attack is believed to have taken place the previous day, on Friday 20 March. Officers will remain locally available to anyone with information. “He/she is kindly requested to contact us on 101 quoting record number 2161.”
