Tiger Woods to make TGL return after 13 months out through injury

Tiger Woods will play competitive golf for the first time in more than a year on the final night of the TGL season on Tuesday.

The 50-year-old player, who has undergone a series of operations in the last two years, has been away from the field since having surgery to replace a disc in his back in October.

His last competitive appearance was at TGL in February 2025, while his last appearance on the PGA Tour occurred 20 months ago.

Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club X account posted a photo of the 15-time major winner with the caption, “I’m back.”

During the 2026 TGL season, he took on a non-playing role at Jupiter Links GC, an indoor PGA Tour-backed setup that uses a massive screen at a purpose-built venue in Florida.

Woods’ team beat Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common team in last week’s semifinals to set up a meeting with Los Angeles Golf Club in the best-of-three final.

Los Angeles, featuring England’s Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood, won the opening match, while Woods replaced Kevin Kisner in Tuesday’s season finale.
