Tamil Nadu Assembly election 2026: TMC(M) gets five seats in NDA, to contest on BJP’s ‘Lotus’ symbol

GK Vasan-led Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar) has been allotted five seats as part of the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance for the Assembly elections.
The party will contest for the BJP’s ‘Lotus’ symbol in Oddanchathiram, Erode West, Ranipet, Killiyoor and Kumbakonam.
To talk HinduMr Vasan confirmed that his party had been allocated five seats. He said that since his party’s symbol was controversial, he decided to contest the election under the symbol of the BJP.
Meanwhile, the John Pandian-led Tamilaga Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam was also allotted one seat. He will contest the Rajapalayam seat.
Similarly, the South Indian Forward Bloc Party led by KC Thirumaran has also been allotted a seat under the NDA and the party will also contest on the symbol of the BJP.
