Iran has reportedly presented a huge list of demands to the US and Israel for an end to the war in the Middle East; This is a humiliating ransom for US President Donald Trump.

He said Monday that his son-in-law Jared Kushner and US envoy Steve Witkoff met with an unnamed Iranian leader, but that the US did not meet with the religious leader. Iran has denied that such talks took place.

Speaking to NewsNation, Tel Aviv correspondent Robert Sherman said: “The President of Iran said that one of the things that needs to happen is security guarantees, insurances that the war will not continue.”

He stated that Iran is seeking guarantees against future military actions, compensation for wartime losses, as well as formal control of the Strait of Hormuz and no restrictions on its ballistic missile program.

Mr. Sherman continued: “This last one will be a difficult one to accept, especially for the Israeli side, and probably for the Americans as well. “There are indications that Iran is saying that it is ready to dig its own hell into all this and that it has some kind of influence.

“That’s why when you talk to the Israeli public, they don’t put a lot of emphasis on any potential for negotiations here, they believe the gap with the bridge is a little bit too wide. Most people believe there’s still a way to go in this war.”

Many on social media described the demands as ‘insulting’ to the US President; Reports suggest that the US military is preparing to deploy at least 1,000 troops from the 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East in the coming days.

The war death toll has risen to more than 1,500 in Iran, 1,000 in Lebanon, 16 in Israel and 13 US military members, as well as scores of civilians on land and at sea in the Gulf region.
