EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: JCB heiress Alice Bamford grieves partner Ann in emotional tribute

Her life has always been a gilded existence, years ago when her parents, Lord and Lady Bamford, celebrated her 21st birthday with a dazzling, Great Gatsby-themed party at their 2,000-acre estate, Daylesford, in Gloucestershire, where Joan Collins and the late Duke of Marlborough were among hundreds of guests.
The couple’s only daughter, Alice, thought: “The stork sure dropped me off at the right house”; He was deeply grateful to have been born to loving, incredibly generous parents and to have been blessed with a £10bn fortune generated by the family’s JCB excavation empire.
But Alice, 49, never made the mistake of thinking she was vulnerable to the cruel luck that can befall anyone, and yesterday at One Gun Ranch on the California coast she paid a deeply moving tribute to Ann Eysenring, the woman whose life she shared.
Describing Ann, who succumbed to cancer after a long battle, as ‘one of a kind’, mother of three young children Alice said: ‘We see you every sunrise, every sunset and many things in between.
‘You are the great openness, the mighty ocean, the light of the fire, the flickering candle, the rainbow around the full moon, and the powerful symmetry in all the ways we mourn and celebrate for you.’

The couple met nearly 20 years ago after Alice moved to Los Angeles. But their happiest place was One Gun Ranch, which they ran according to biodynamic principles in accordance with the lunar cycle.
It was a success that delighted Alice’s mother Carole, founder of the Daylesford Organic empire, and attracted many of her star friends, from the irrepressible Dame Joan to model Cara Delevingne.

Kate’s jeweler criticizes Starmer
Kiki McDonough, one of the Princess of Wales’s favorite jewelers, is alarmed at the incompetence of Sir Keir Starmer’s Labor Government.
‘He’s absolutely hopeless. ‘I’ve been following politics since the late 1970s and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever encountered such a hopeless Government,’ says Kiki, who lives on Symons Street in Chelsea’s Sloane Square.
‘I find it really scary,’ he adds. ‘There’s no stability, no direction, no security, 14 U-turns in two years, so if you’re running a business it’s a complete disaster.’

Fruit machine offer surprised Bianca Jagger
Bianca Jagger was the epitome of 1970s hedonism with her then-husband Sir Mick, but now she’s an advocate for morality.
Bianca, 80, sent a four-page letter to Kensington and Chelsea council objecting to plans for a slot machine venue by Silvertime Amusement in Earl’s Court to replace smaller premises.
According to The Chelsea Citizen, “Silvertime’s current site is private.” ‘The proposed site will be highly visible and create a gambling hub with approximately four times the window area in a prime location.
‘These places attract opportunist crime and aggressive begging, which feeds into other night-time drug supply economies.’
A company spokesman told me: ‘Silvertime has operated a venue in Earl’s Court for many years without encountering anti-social behavior or any other problems.’
