Crops On 10,000 Acres Hit By Hailstorm, Shabbir Assures Relief

KAMAREDDY: Farmers in Pedda Mallareddy and Kancharla villages of Bhiknoor mandal in Kamareddy constituency reported major damage to crops following the recent hailstorm.

Paddy grown in around 10,001 acres under Pedda Mallareddy tank was affected; Mango, maize and vegetable crops also suffered losses.

Government advisor Muhammad Ali Shabbir visited the affected villages, inspected the fields and interacted with farmers.

He directed the agriculture and revenue officials to immediately make an assessment of crop damage and submit a detailed report. He said the report will be discussed with A. Revanth Reddy for compensation to the affected farmers. Authorities were asked to speed up the investigation process.
