My breast-enlarging hypnotherapy claim prompted requests from men to make their penises bigger, says Polanski

Zack Polanski said that following a news report suggesting that hypnotherapy techniques could increase breast size, he received “lots of emails” asking whether hypnotherapy techniques could be used to increase the size of other parts of the body.

The Green Party leader has faced brutal criticism after making a controversial statement to a journalist. Sun Before entering politics in 2013.

In a 2019 blog post titled “Politics were never part of the plan,” Polanski said he was contacted by both men and women who wanted similar results.

“I have received many emails from women and have always told them that this is not a service we offer but that I would be happy to talk about positive body image,” the former hypnotherapist wrote.

“I also received many more emails from men wanting to know if it worked on other parts of the body. Needless to say, the response was again that this was not a service the clinic provided.”

She added: “I made a mistake that misled people about my work on body image and for that I apologize unreservedly.”

Mr. Polanski has since said that he was misrepresented in the initial article and that it did not convey his work as a hypnotherapist.

But in the same 2019 article, he wrote: “None of this means the journalist did a bad job or misrepresented me.”

She said: “When I saw the article it was clear that the focus on body image and being comfortable with exactly how you are wasn’t the focus I wanted. But it’s a lesson learned.”

Speaking to LBC in 2024 when he was deputy leader of the Greens, Mr Polanski was asked about the article and said: “The day after the article 11 years ago, I immediately apologized to say it did not represent my work… I apologized because I realize it could be offensive to people.”

Asked in September 2025 whether he then believed hypnosis could enlarge a woman’s breasts, Mr. Polanski reiterated his stance and said: “No.”

However, a reemerging BBC Radio Humberside The interview, conducted on June 18, 2013 (six days after the initial report was published), appears to show Polanski doubling down on his theory.

“In fact, as we work with people more and more, anecdotal evidence is starting to emerge, at least of growth in breast size,” he told host Peter Levy.

Mr. Polanski said he believed “it could happen,” and talked about a “successful project” with the journalist, adding that “I’m not charging people for breast augmentations right now.”

The Green Party has been contacted for comment.
