Tiger Woods car crash: Golfer involved in Florida collision

Golf star Tiger Woods was involved in a car accident in Florida.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that it is actively investigating the crash, which occurred on Jupiter Island just after 2pm local time (approximately 19:00 GMT) on Friday.

BBC’s US media partner CBS said a source from Martin County Fire Rescue confirmed that the incident was a two-car accident, with one vehicle rolling over.

One person is in stable condition, while another refused to go to hospital. Woods’ condition is not yet known as no further details have been released.

Police are scheduled to provide an update around 21:00 GMT.
