Andhra Pradesh Women Win T10 National Cricket Championship For Deaf

Gurugram: Andhra Pradesh women won the 7th IDCA Deaf Women’s T10 National Cricket Championship by beating Delhi’s spirited team by five runs in a low-scoring encounter here. Batting first, Andhra Pradesh posted 73 for 4. Delhi put up a strong fight against it but could only manage 68 for 4 in their allotted runs.
D. Kanthamma from Andhra Pradesh was the standout player of the tournament and won many awards. In the final, she was named Woman of the Match and Best Batswoman of the Series. He was also awarded the Player of the Series award for his consistent performances. Priya Dixit from Uttar Pradesh was recognized as the Best Bowler of the Series for her outstanding bowling efforts.
The Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) is supported by the BCCI and recognized by the Deaf International Cricket Council and the Asian Deaf Cricket Association. IDCA President Sumit Jain said that over the years, promising talents have emerged from the tournament.
