Amanda Holden and her best pal Alan Carr jump on a private jet from Inverness back to London after enjoying a luxurious weekend away

They’ve proven to be one of TV’s best-loved duos, even picking up their first joint BAFTA nomination this week.
Amanda Holden and best friend Alan Carr proved they embrace the finer things in life as they took a private jet back to London from Inverness on Sunday.
The 49-year-old comedian recently confirmed he is a baron after spending £3.25 million on a Traitors-style castle in Scotland.
Amanda and Alan were seen enjoying a luxury weekend in the Highlands with friends, but this time they were thought to be at Skibo Castle near Dornoch in Sutherland, 200 miles from the funnyman’s new home.
Skibo Castle is classed as the pinnacle of luxury, so there’s no doubt Alan and Amanda will be pampered on their weekend away.
Alan and Amanda are no strangers to home transformations, having featured in a series of BBC programs transforming beautiful properties across Europe.
Amanda Holden and Alan Carr took a private jet back to London from Inverness on Saturday after the comedian splashed out on the £3.25 million Scottish castle.
The comedian recently confirmed he was a baron after spending £3.25 million on a Traitors-style castle in Scotland.
The duo received a joint nomination for Entertainment Performance at the BAFTA Television Awards this week for their show Alan and Amanda’s Spanish Job.
Skibo Castle features an 18-hole golf course, equestrian center, 21 guest rooms, 12 manor cottages and a piper to wake guests up every morning.
The luxury venue has hosted many celebrities, including Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s wedding in 2000 and Robbie Williams’ 30th birthday party in 2004.
Other visitors include former US presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton, Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Sir Sean Connery and Mick Jagger.
The castle, owned by Irish-American Ellis Short after purchasing it for £23 million in 2003, has been home to the private members club The Carnegie Club for 30 years.
Alan previously shared that he was inspired to purchase Ayton Castle after appearing on Celebrity Traitors last year.
The presenter has since revealed that he owns the rights to the Barony of Ayton title and plans to get his own tartan.
The barony dates back to 1324 and could be purchased alongside the estate.
Alan spoke about his new situation with Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson on the Staying Relevant podcast.
He said: ‘I’m in my turret age. I want a castle and I’m 50 years old. I won’t be around forever. I think 50, I just want to do what I want to do.
‘I always wanted a castle. I am a baron. ‘I’ll buy my own tartan.’
He also shut down reports that he was outbid and said: ‘I bought it. Someone said someone else bought it, but no, I bought it.
‘I haven’t been this excited about a project in a long time. I’ve just received the survey and am waiting for the keys to arrive.’
Alan, who separated from her husband Paul Drayton after 13 years in 2022, also joked that ‘she can find a good man there’.
The sprawling estate has 16 bedrooms, 160 acres of gardens and even its own miniature railway.

Alan has big plans for the majestic property, having signed a seven-figure deal with Disney+ to produce a series documenting the castle’s transformation into a luxury hotel and spa.
But the meeting to inform residents of their big plans was postponed due to the ‘unprecedented’ number of people planning to attend.
The event, planned to be held at the beginning of this month, had to be canceled due to the Ayton Bowling Club’s maximum capacity of 120 people.
Residents were reportedly concerned that public access to the castle grounds might be restricted.
Residents were told in the meantime that they could direct their questions and complaints about the program to the community council.
Alan first revealed his plans to buy his own castle last month, during an appearance on his Celebrity Traitor co-star Jonathan Ross’ chat show.
He said: ‘I’m buying a castle. I’m having a midlife crisis. I want a turret to belong to me. I’m in my turret era. I’ve been dreaming of a move and I loved being in the Traitors’ castle, so I thought, ‘I’ll get one for myself.’
The popular comedian added that he felt ‘lonely’ before his 50th birthday in June, and that he wanted the castle to be a place for people to visit and to be filled with animals like a ‘big old zoo’.
‘I’m 50 this year, I know I don’t look like it and I just want one. “I know it sounds amazing,” he said. ‘I’m moving from where I am now, I want the animals there, I want something communal.
‘I’m alone where I am. It will be nice for people to come there and drink cream tea. ‘I want people to come and have donkeys and things like that everywhere.’
‘The real estate agent said, ‘Do you want a highland cow?’ he said. I said, ‘Yes, paste it.’ I want to reintroduce wolves. If I’m a landowner, I can reintroduce wolves.
‘That would be nice. It helps the ecosystem… I read somewhere… maybe I’ll think about it. ‘I want it to be like a big old zoo, I love that.’
Alan revealed he will transform the century-old mansion into a functional home, with his efforts documented in the new Disney+ series.
Called Castle Man, the series will take on a similar plot to the BBC’s hit home renovation series, with Amanda Holden, and will reportedly be produced by Expectation, the same company responsible for Clarkson’s Farm.
