It’s the one day of the year when you can’t trust what people say or what you read on the internet.

And if you haven’t figured out which date it is yet, you’ve probably been caught up in one of the many pranks played this April Fool’s Day.

As usual, some of the country’s best-loved brands are using today as a marketing opportunity with a series of hilarious product launches.

These include meatball lollipops from Ikea, moon-powered panels from Wickes and a Dyson Airwrap fit for a cat.

Dyson unveils new pet beauty range

Dyson this morning launched a new pet range in what it describes as its boldest beauty category launch yet.

One of the new products is the cat-friendly Dyson Airwrap. The hairdryer is described as ‘slim and cat-friendly’, perfect for curling ‘delicate chest hair’.

Another product is ‘Supersonic Elegant’ – ‘a dryer with a tension comb-style accessory that’s perfect for boosting the volume of poodle curls’.

A spokesperson for the company said: ‘Dyson is set to unveil its boldest beauty category launch yet, a completely engineered range of styles designed not just for humans but also for our furrier, featherier friends.

‘Think high-shine Afghan hound bangs, styled Maine Coon curls or even a flashy, asymmetrical fringe moment for a dazzling horse.’
