Revanth Reddy At UDF Manifesto Launch

Kochi: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, during the launch of the United Democratic Front (UDF) election manifesto on Thursday, said: “Pinarayi Vijayan and BRS leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao share similarities such as family rule, high corruption and mismanagement.
Campaigning in Kerala as the campaigner of the Congress party, the Prime Minister, along with opposition leader VD Satheesan, unveiled the UDF Manifesto in Kochi, promising “5+1 guarantee” to expand welfare programs and support the youth.
The Chief Minister said that in the last decade, K. Chandrasekhar Rao ruled Telangana from 2014 to 2024, comparing his tenure with that of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Kerala, pointing out similarities in family involvement, allegations of corruption and mismanagement.
“Kerala is now facing a pivotal moment. Just as Telangana is witnessing a political transformation in December 2023, described as the “miracle month” in which Chandrasekhar Rao is defeated and a new people’s government is elected, many believe that Kerala is on the verge of a similar change. He said that after a decade under Pinarayi Vijayan and the Left Democratic Front (LDF), voters seem ready to return to the UDF. After 10 years, the people of Kerala are leaving Pinarayi Vijayan and “This time people will vote for UDF to defeat LDF,” he said.
Earlier on Wednesday, he launched a scathing attack on both the BJP and the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF), claiming that “voting for LDF is like voting for BJP”. While addressing roadshows and public meetings in Nemom and surrounding constituencies, he alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan were in a “secret agreement” but were publicly projecting opposing ideologies.
Elections to the 140-seat Kerala Assembly will be held on April 9, 2026, votes will be counted and the results will be announced on May 4, 2026.
