26-year-old Bihar techie found dead at Hyderabad apartment, she got married just two months back

The victim, identified as Ishita Yadav, was from Bihar and had befriended a man from Madhya Pradesh through the social media platform in 2020, police said. The duo was in a live-in relationship for the last five years and got married in February this year in the presence of their family members in Patna.
After marriage, the couple stayed in an apartment in Miyapur in Hyderabad. But recently, after the marriage, tension between the couple escalated after the husband allegedly subjected her to mental abuse due to additional dowry demands, a police official told PTI.

Police also stated that the husband, who founded a start-up, also pressured his family to invest in his own business. Citing the preliminary investigation, the official added that the woman, unable to bear the ongoing harassment, died by suicide. Police reported that the suspect was detained and the investigation continues.
“They got married in Patna in February this year in the presence of their family members. The couple was staying in a flat in Miyapur here after their marriage,” the official added. “Also, the husband of the woman who had started a new company was also harassing her family members to invest in his company,” police said. “He died by suicide because he could not bear the abuse,” the official said, based on preliminary investigation. Police stated that the suspect was caught and the investigation continues.
Upon receiving news about the incident, the police came to the scene and investigated. Following the complaint of the woman’s family members, a case was filed at Miyapur Police Station and her husband was taken into custody.(with PTI inputs)
