Murder investigation after teenager stabbed to death in seaside town

A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death in the seaside town.

Kent Police launched a murder investigation after being called to reports of a serious assault in Whitstable on Kent’s north coast.

The man died at the scene on Belmont Road, near the town’s cricket and football clubs.

Police and ambulance services were called at around 2am on Good Friday.

The town’s MP, Rosie Duffield, said: “This is extremely shocking and saddening. I know the area well and such incidents are incredibly rare in our community.”

“I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Kent Police.”
