Traffic suspended on Jammu-Srinagar highway due to landslides in Ramban

Traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway was suspended in the early hours of Monday, April 6, 2026, due to landslides and flying stones triggered by rains in the Ramban district, officials said.
The traffic police spokesperson said that the movement of vehicles on the highway in both directions was stopped due to the blockage of pipes between Karol Bridge and Chanderkote by landslides and stones.
Men and machines work to clear the highway of slides and thrown stones.
