Fake doctor jailed for carrying out unsafe and illegal circumcisions

A man was imprisoned for nine years after he found that a court had imitated a court to make a doctor to make unacceptable and illegal circumcisions on babies and larger men.

Mohammed Alazawi, 54, was convicted of 40 crimes, including multiple fraud, injury with intention, only the application of prescription drugs, and the supply of prescription drugs, and the attack that suffered true physical damage.

He was sentenced to Southwark Crown Court on Tuesday. He agreed to 20 accusations and found more than 20 more guilty after the hearing.

Between October 2016 and January 2022, Alazawi realized non -therapeutic male circumcisions, which is irregular in the UK and does not need a legally qualified medical practitioner.

However, the Court heard that his methods were naturally insecure and dangerous, and he transformed things that should be routine, and sanitary procedures into illegal attacks. In the court, the judge described his actions as a serious threat to a deep violation of trust and public security.

Alazawi posed as a doctor and received parental consent for these operations. The court heard that the parents would offer a false document attributed to the Independence Hospital in Jordan, and that he was trained in circumcision. After being arrested, the police announced that he was a “circumcision expert and taxi driver”.

Among his operations, a two -week baby was circumcised on the coffee table.

Speaking after the decisions in May, Judge Perrins said that the law on male circumcision should be changed because it was almost completely unreliable ”.

Anja Hohmeyer said that Alazawi, who said that Alazawi was “insecure, unhealthy and harmful ways of safety of the safety and actions of young patients on their safety, families and communities.

Detective Inspector Neil Hunt from the public protection unit of West Midlands Police, which lasted seven years of investigation into Alazawi, said: “Some of the young victims continued to complications after procedures such as infections and we were warned after such an incident and started an investigation.

“These complex investigations continued to find many victims from all over England.

“To support our investigation, which saw that this perpetrator was imprisoned today, had the courage and support of these families who were far from Canada.”
