Attorney General Tushar Mehta says new documents should not be submitted during the appeal phase.

Kalyan Bandhopadhyay, senior lawyer for TMC leaders, said that the Election Commission has not issued receipts for the documents submitted at the objection stage.

Justice J. Joymalya Bagchi said the SC had already said that all documents and records should be submitted to the appellate court. The person making the appeal may request these documents to establish the appeal case.
